Airpods 3 battery issue

Ever since I bought Airpods 3rd generation, the battery isn’t performing to what apple quotes. I used it for 2-3hrs a day(mostly calls) and the case battery depletes to 0% in 3 days.


The case discharges very fast. I took it to the authorised service centre and they said the product is fine. Not sure if it is a manufacturing defect or that’s what is expected. Anyone else facing this issue?

Troubleshooting AirPods Power Draining:


A. Start with a Reset:

Go Here: Reset your AirPods - Apple Support


B. A Few Links to Visit:





C. Try the Following Tasks:

  • Hold Down the Button on the case for about 15 seconds.


  • Use an Apple Brand Cable - not a third party one - cool though it may look, a fabric, third-part cable would likely tear - (Apple cable's are plastic and are intended for Apple)


  • Remove the AirPod from the Case, then place it back in the charger. Perhaps it need to resync with he charger.

Get AppleCare Next Time:

If the battery is depleting on its own, then no, there is nothing normal about this. So, take it back to Apple, and request a swapout. Elsewise, take this as a learning experience, by getting AppleCare with these. If you already have AppleCare, and Apple is not taking it back, then there’s nothing you can do about it. Only they have calls in services.
