Cannot Enter iCloud Apple ID Password on iWatch

Hello, I changed my Apple ID password, and my iWatch requests the new one. It presents a scribble pad that reads the inputs wrong. In particular, the first letter is always capitalized, almost as if trying to do a spell-check-correction. Also, a small i is always mis read - as a comma or maybe small L .

Is there a way to use a keyboard instead of a scribble pad? It seems I cannot even look into the watch settings until I can enter the iCloud account password, which is impossible with scribble mis-reading my inputs.
