recovery email not working

I have a gmail email since I only use it for apple tv+. I want to change the password. It is trying to send it to a recovery email that might look right. It never comes. NO, I have NO problem with my email client. WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO DO? JUST A RUNAROUND. THIS SHOULD BE EASY.

Thank you, but I have read Everything on this subject, Before I posted. In some of those instructions, it says it might give you several options on how to do it, but there is only one option that comes up for me after I enter my email, and that is to get an email to your recovery email, which like I said looks like it may be right, but never comes. It is a comcast email and even though I use an email client (WLM which works fine), I also went onto the xfinity webmail to make sure and it was not there, not even in the spam folder. So it is all so silly...APPLE...LOL. I don't have a Mac and I have an Android...LOL...Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks again. I came here first because it seemed to be a pain to try and "get someone from apple". I should say that the only Apple product I ever had was an IPAD, which is when I made the acct back in, say 2010, so I don't know what happened then. I recently got Apple TV+ with my T-Mobile subscription and I signed up with the userid/pw I used with the IPAD (for the App Store), which did work. So there you go. I guess I will have to do some (a lot) of "hunting". Oh well. Have a nice day and be safe!
