why does my ipad not have a sim card slot?

i own an ipad 9th gen and it is my first product from apple so i’m still learning the ropes on top of that i am also not very tech savvy. i’m confused as to why my ipad doesn’t have a sim card slot, i’ve looked this topic up on google and youtube and it the results always show that their units do have a sim card slot. so why does mine not have one?

There are 2 versions of iPads. There is a WiFi only model (no SIM). There is also a cellular + WiFi model (with SIM). Please check the model number at: Settings - General - About - Model = ???
