Final Cut Pro

Hello,

I recently started using Final Cut Pro. The problem I have now is that I downloaded multiple 'sound effects' from YouTube. These got into my music tab on the software. After I was done editing I deleted some of them from my computer(finder)/iTunes because I didn't need them anymore, but now it says that there are files unavailable and I'm unable to delete these sound effects out of the music tab of final cut pro. I tried going to file>relink files and open to reveal in finder but both don't work, because I already deleted them off of my computer.

Is there any tech person that could help me? Greatly appreciated :)

I’m not clear what you mean “these go into the music tab.”” Does this means the sound effects were put into the Music application like songs, or does it mean something else?

When you edit sounds or effects from Music into FCP it’s not usually imported into the application simply linked to it. If you remove that media from the system FCP no longer has access to it. If it’s been deleted from your computer and you still need to work with it the only thing you can do is get it back from where you first got it and either relink it or edit it back into FCP library. I would recommend not putting the sound effects into Music, but keep them on your computer and import then like the video files you’re working with.
