I would like to restore my iphone 6 plus phone and have received below error message.

data recovery cannot be completed please restore your iphone from backup

What happens when you restore from a backup?

There are two restores.

Restore to factory settings:- Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple ...
Restore from a backup:- Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup ...
