Install adsguard blocker

Hi, when I was watching show, my iPhone 12 iOS suddenly ask me to instal adsguard, blocker saying it could be infected by virus and there is countdown of the timing for downloading, is this not a scam? I am not sure whether this is from trusted source so I just off my iPhone. Now I am using my iPhone 7.. anyone have encounter this b4? Should I download and install?

A 'self-appointed adguard' may be a ruse to install their adware malware &/or may be phishing expedition.

Hopefully you've not taken any bait they've offered. Choose valid solutions instead.


The App Store has some too. A few may be OK.

Tried malwarebytes for iOS once, said it had free initial use.


Hard to remove during first day; was rid of it within an hour.

I've not used anything since; instead I try to not click on ads.
