I have a question: So my dad just bought me the Final Cut Pro by Apple few weeks ago. He told me to redeem the code using my account. However, no matter what I do, I still can't redeem my Final Cut Pro app... Can someone help me? Thx :)

Did he buy the ProApps for Education bundled (that includes FCP, Motion, Logic, Compressor and ...)?
That may be it, because that would give redemption codes.
Open the App Store, click on your account at the bottom left, then click "Redeem Gift Card". Enter the codes to associate the purchase to your Apple Id.
