This recovery loop has happened to me twice in the last 3 weeks. Both times i plugged my iPhone 11 into my MacBook at night and in the morning it would not turn on and Finder would tell me the iPhone is in recovery mode and to restore. I would restore, it would tell me the iPhone is restarting and then Finder would tell me to restore again…an endless loop.

I took it to the “genius” and he said it was a logic board issue and is not fixable. I decided to use my Pixel until iPhone 14 is released. However, a few days later, I thought I’d try a boot up with “volume up, volume down, hold the side button” and it gave the battery-drained image. I charged it and it booted up.

The same scenario happens a week or so later, so I waited a couple days for the battery to drain and tried charging it and it booted up again. This time I didn’t do any restoring and booted with no need to re-download backup. So try a battery drain and then charge it before doing anything else.

Hello Jakhar421,

We recommend following the guidance listed in the following article for this issue: If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch

Please note "If the download takes more than 15 minutes and your device exits the recovery mode screen, let the download finish, then repeat step 3." Also, if updating does not work it will be necessary to select restore.

Best regards.
