an error occurred migrating user data reinstall macos to resolve the issue

Hi! I have macbook pro 13-inch early 2015, I am trying to upgrade macos monterey but every time its giving me "an error occurred migrating user data reinstall macos to resolve the issue" I tryed enter safe mode its getting stuck, showing apple logo, and progress bar stopping at middle. Time machine is not showing backups, showing "Searching for Time Machine backups..." I have been trying for 3 days now, please help me solve this issue. Thanks

You shouldn't need to migrate data. When you upgrade your Mac's OS, the data is untouched.


Or have you completely wiped your disk and are now attempting to use Setup or Migration Assistant to restore from TM? If you've done that, the error message seems to be saying the reinstallation failed.


Regardless, your TM dedicated disk must be available. If not on your LAN, then directly attached to your Mac. WiFi, if you're using that, is fraught with problems.

I have a 2016 iMac which I am trying to upgrade to Monterey and keep receiving this same message “Your computer started in Recovery Mode because a failure occurred during installation. An error occurred migrating use data during install. Reinstall macOS to resolve this issue” I have run first aid in disk utility, no errors found. It will start in safe mode with Monterey as the OS
