Face ID is not working

My face recognition is no longer working. I have forced a reset on my phone to no avail. I then saw online that I should reset my face recognition. Which I have selected, and it tells me to put my phone with in the area for the software to start saving my face, but nothing happens. I’m hoping this just doesn’t mean it doesn’t work anymore- :( Any other suggestions!?

All Face ID options:


Update your iPhone. 📲



If that didn’t help, then try a Hard Reset:


  1. Press volume up (quickly)
  2. Press volume down (quickly)
  3. Press and hold the power button until the Apple logo ( ) appears


If that didn’t work, it could be a hardware issue. ⚠️
