Turn on the option in Settings > [username] > iCloud > (e.g., Photos, Contacts, Calendars, etc) and the information from iCloud will automatically sync with the new phone.

Also, see: Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support

Set up and use iCloud Contacts - Apple Support

etc

and if you have an iCloud Backup, see: Use iCloud to transfer data from your previous iOS or iPadOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Set up iCloud on all your devices - Apple Support

Set up iCloud Drive on iPhone - Apple Support

And turn on inbuilt applications boxes .

Note : you have to sign same Apple ID and password and account credentials used in old iPhone on your new iPhone , the iCloud data will start syncing .

In the question it's mentioned - Don’t have old phone.
So how will this article help Use iCloud to transfer data from your previous iOS or iPadOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

The full sentence that I posted was:

and if you have an iCloud Backup, see: Use iCloud to transfer data from your previous iOS or iPadOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Even though the OP doesn't have the old phone at this time, he may have an iCloud Backup that was made when he still had it.

I don't understand.

The original question was:

rasiest way to have iCloud info transferred to new phone. Don’t have old phone.

One possible meaning of that is that he had an iPhone at one time (maybe yesterday) and no longer has the old phone. The use of the words new phone and old phone makes be think it is at least possible.

If and when he did have the old phone, he could have made an iCloud Backup of it (including by having automatic backups turned on in the old phone).

The iCloud info that he is asking for the easiset way to transfer to the new phone may have been than backup.

If so, he can use the article Use iCloud to transfer data from your previous iOS or iPadOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support for instructions on how to restore that backup to the new phone.

I may be missing something, but I don't know what it is.

The best way is always back up iCloud data on Mac , in case if device is lost or damaged or not in use , if it's lost always enable passcode so other person can't open iPhone and delete iCloud data from the device .

Suppose a person use only a single iPhone and he doesn't back the iCloud data in Mac , in that scenarios if iCloud was set up , iCloud drive , and turned on all applications boxes , notes , calendars , contacts , mails ...etc and he purchase a new iPhone , he will never loose his iCloud data they will always sync ( have to use same Apple ID and password of old iPhone with same credentials ) .

It depends what were the situations what settings were enabled / disabled in previous old iPhone , did they backed up iCloud data somewhere ? or not

In this article Use iCloud to transfer data from your previous iOS or iPadOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Also it depends where is that old iPhone , in their possession or not .

iCloud transfer to new phone.
