I just setup a Wacom Cintiq 16 to my new Mac Mini. I'm using Inkscape for my drawing needs. When open a file it automatically goes to the tablet. How can I stop that. I want to be able to control it going to the tablet on my own.

Make your display the primary and your tablet the secondary.
Yea’ that is the way it works.
A quick work-around is to use the Display icon on the menu bar to switch between Extended Desktop and Mirroring Mode.
Extended Desktop when the tablet on and Mirroring when it is off.
That’s how I have it setup. But every time I open a project in Inkscape it goes to the tablet even if the tablet isn’t turned on.
