After too many attempts to enter a password my new computer locked me out. How do I unlock it?

You follow the on-screen instructions. Did you read them? Which password was it asking for your Administrators password for your Mac or your Apple ID?

After too many tries i am locked out of my new Mac. I have found what i think is the right password now but i can’t unlock the computer and there are no on screen instructions to help me
