iPhone unlocked when you buy a sim free iPhone. Does it just mean there’s no sim included, or iPhone doesn’t use sim? Can I use in different countries?

When an iPhone is purchased directly from Apple and is SIM - Free, then it means that it is an unlocked iPhone and will work with any carrier in the US. Yes, you may use it in different countries with compatible carriers in that country.

Is this an iPhone 11 that you are referring to? I am asking because that is what I see in your profile and Apple is not selling the iPhone 11 directly at present. If you are purchasing this iPhone from a third party retailer then be careful about their SIM-Free unlocked iPhone claims.

Apple doesn't include a SIM card. It might be included with service, or there might be a nominal cost. But yes, SIM free means that it's unlocked, and won't ever need to be unlocked, such as with carrier locked iPhones or ones that lock to the first SIM card that's used.
