My notes app is completely up to date on all updates so I know that that is not the problem. When I open my notes app all of my notes are gone. There is no back button, I can select anything but new note and even then I does not save the new note I created. I can’t figure it out

Assuming they are iCloud Notes...
Settings, your name, iCloud
Turn Notes On.
If you keep your notes on another provider account...
Settings, Notes, Accounts, tap on the account and turn Notes On
Assuming they are iCloud Notes...

Turn Notes On.
If you keep your notes on another provider account...
Settings, Notes, Accounts, tap on the account and turn Notes On

And if they are not on iCloud? What then?
If they were there but ate no longer then they have been deleted by the iCloud account user. They cannot just disappear.

No one else uses my account
its the phone they are gone from in the update, they were not on iCloud
Some of the notes were locked so would not delete instantly.
My notes has deleted all of my notes will not save any of the new notes I create
