I put in my apple ID and password on my I pad and it tells me the ID can't be used to unlock it it's the only ID I have
My I pad won't accept my apple ID it is in activation lock

If it's locked to a different Apple ID, log in with that one, or contact the person who can, or if you're the unit's original owner, click here and submit an unlock request.
If it's become unbound from that Apple ID but is still locked, submit an unlock request.
