I have a question about apple card monthly installments

If I want to purchase a new laptop using apple card monthly installments, do I have to be approved for the apple card? Does the approved credit line on the card have to be higher than the purchase price of the laptop to finance it for 24 months at 0% interest? Please help me understand how this works
