iPhone 13 Pro Max screen freeze

Hi, my iPhone 13 Pro Max screen completely stopped working. I couldn’t even turn off the phone because I couldn’t slide to power off. Finally was able to search online for forced restart using my iPad. Why is this happening? Is this a bug? Can it be fixed?
