How can I update MacOS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard in April 2022?

The software update button doesn't work. I can't find an OS in the app store. I even had to post this question with my smartphone because the browsers don't work. Please don't make me landfill it! Thanks

If you are running 10.6.8, there are probably no more updates for it. You may be able to upgrade, depending on your year and model computer.

If you can't install from the download, which will come from the App Store, then make a bootable usb installer.

The newest computers that ran Snow Leopard support up to macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and you can download it by googling how to get old OS X and going on the apple website link. Click the blue text that says macOS High Sierra and the download will begin. If your computer is older than 2010, please say so as they run older versions.
