As you're seeing this occur with the Facebook app only, let's check to make sure your iPhone and apps are up-to-date. If there is an update available for your iPhone, be sure to complete a backup of your information first. Update iPhone manually
At any time, you can check for and install software updates.
Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
The screen shows the currently installed version of iOS and whether an update is available.
To turn off automatic updates, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Automatic Updates.

How to manually update apps on your iPhone or iPad
1. Open the App Store.
2. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
3. Scroll to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.
