2 Microphones Using Aggregate Device

I have been using two Samson Q2U mics through Garage Band to record a podcast, it goes great for about 25 shows then the mics will work individually but not together. I used to be able to switch the output/input device in Audio/MIDI and it would reset it so they work again but no tricks are working at this time to get both mics to work together. Also tried restarting, and updating each time.

In Garage Band, it used to let me add Audio 1 and Audio 2 and switch the inputs to 1-2 and then 3-4 but it's only giving me one option now, 1-2

They are not working together in Garage Band or Stream Yard and both have worked in the past, both mics work individually, just not together.

I have 10.4.5 version of Garage Band and 12.3.1 on my Mac

Would LOVE to have a permanent resolution for this issue.

Thank You!

Hello 2mics,

We understand you're having trouble using two microphones after creating an Aggregate Device in GarageBand. We're happy to help.

If you haven't already, try setting up a new Aggregate Device per the steps outlined in this article:

Create an Aggregate Device to combine multiple audio interfaces - Apple Support

If you still only get auto from one microphone at a time, we suggest you contact Apple Support for further assistance.

Take care.
