Upgrade Mac 21.5 2011
I have a Mac 21.5 2011, I am unable to download upgrades. Is it at all possible to upgrade the system itself? At 76, I really can't afford yet another Mac. This is my 3rd.

A mid 2011 iMac can be upgraded to High Sierra 10.13.6 but no later version. See: How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support

What can help is a safer Browser.
Might try this, it's Chrome Browser without google & without Ads...
Look into the Free LibreOffice, it handles MS Office files like Word & Excel, & Page Layout…
Thank you. I already have 13.6 version. Guess I'm out of luck. Ah well, the computer still works great, I'll just have to talk to my security folks to see how they can keep me safe online.
Use a different browser such as Chrome or Firefox -- you can still run the latest versions of those.
Thank you.
You're welcome, good luck & take care my friend.
