I am getting unwanted Notifications on my lock screen from companies I have not solicited and, to my knowledge, are not from any apps installed on my phone. What can I do about this?

What kind of "notifications?
A "company" can't just send you a 'notification' out of the blue.
Are they text message notifications, or notifications from apps? You can control whether specific apps are allowed to send you notifications in Settings.

Or maybe you were telling me that when the notification appears on my lock screen, I should tap on it? And then the choices you stated above will be present for use?
