Music and Photo removal from iPhone 11

I need to offload music and photos from my iPhone 11 - insufficient storage.

1) I-Tunes is not letting me remove music.

2) With the photos, I know they are backed up to iCloud, but I want to import them into MS Photos. MS Photos does not recognize my iPhone as a connected device (even though iTunes does). Thoroughly confused an frustrated!

  1. An alternative when you cannot manage with iTunes is Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Music > Edit where you can select all songs or specific content to remove.
  2. Your device's camera roll should appear in Windows Explorer. You should be able to use this to copy images to your computer, then delete them from the device. It may be better to use Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Photos > Optimise Photos to offload some of the data to iCloud.
