Switching from US to Canada phone numbers
I am moving back to Canada. I will need to switch carriers and will lose my US phone number.
Will I lose my text messages when I switch? Or how do I save them so they don’t get lost ?
iPhone 12, iOS 15

There is no way of saving them and they are notoriously nebulous, but in my experience they will not disappear simply by changing number. However you may not be able to continue with the same threads.
Turn on iCloud Drive and Messages in Settings, your name, iCloud.
