iPhone thinks I am in China
I and many others have posted that our iPhones think we are in another city. All user answers fail. Why doesn't Apple tell us how to fix this or at least acknowledge that they can't be bothered?

That link explains how to change the region of your Apple ID account. It sounded to me as if the OP was saying the phone thinks it's in the wrong region. Will changing the account region help with that? (I've known weirder things to help!)

There is value in precision when asking technical support questions. ;-)
Is your problem with the Apple Maps app? Or a different one? Go to Settings>Location Services><App in question> and make sure Precise Location is enabled. See if that helps.
This is a user-to-user support forum. Apple's participation here is minimal.
Go to Settings>General>Language & Region>Region and, regardless of what it says the region is currently set to, reselect the correct region.
Okay, sorry, serves me right for being a smart-***. I didn't really mean China, I checked my region and it IS set to U.S. What happens is that no matter where go my iPhone thinks I am in Charlotte, NC which is about 4 hours driving from where I live, which is in North Carolina in the country near the Virginia line. Whenever I try to find any place it starts from Charlotte and tells me it will take 4 hours to reach my destination which is about 8 miles away.
Location services on my iPhone 6s does not have a "Precise Location" choice but I made sure everything and everyone who might want to track me is on all the time. I will try Apple Maps again the next time I go to town. I try to go only once a week to save the planet.
Thanks,
Cecil
Good point. Maybe they should try yours first then mine.

Perhaps the OP will post back with more details. ;-)
Best of luck! I'd also check to see if you have the same problem with Google Maps.
