I have Mac os desktop Monterey version 12.2.1 and I would like to import vhs video to my mac. How can I do this and what software do I need? Thanks Vicky

Contact your local library. They sometimes have equipment that can digitize VHS tapes. You might need to expand your search to local university libraries.

No, the hdmi port of iMacs these days are output only

you can also use other usb tvtuner with composite in solutions if they have mac drivers
Just go to your local Walmart or wherever and find RCS to HDMI converter device! I use one to use my trusty VHS on my newer TV and should work for you!
