On iPhone 6s, what is the maximum number of Passcode digits?

On iPhone 6s, what is the maximum number of Passcode digits? It seems to be 4. It seems that later iPhone versions allow 6 and even 8 digits. I would appreciate it if someone could confirm this understanding.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

iPhone 6S use 6 digits, but if you want you can change to 4 digits.

  • Change Passcode: Enter a new six-digit passcode. Or tap Passcode Options to switch to a four-digit numeric code, a custom numeric code, or a custom alphanumeric code.

Here an old iPhone 4S can only use 4 digit.

Thanks for your reply. However, I don't see a explicit answer to my question on the Apple page that you linked to. There does not appear to be an option in iPhone 6s to go beyond the four digits. However, I did not want to assume that. I was looking for some confirmation that my inference is correct that iPhone 6s limits you to only a 4 digit Passcode. Thank you kindly
