Hello PaulD_,

That is correct, there's no "save" button. To set a screen saver you would just navigate to System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver > Screen Saver tab, choose Classic then choose the Source you want the images from.

Once you've chosen the one you want to use, make sure "Show screen saver after" is checked at the top and you have a time entered for the screen saver to start.

If the screen saver function is not working, you'd want to contact Apple for assistance: Get Support

Cheers!

Hey PaulD_,

First, we recommend ensuring macOS is fully updated as that can resolve issues: Update macOS on Mac

Then try setting that screen saver again. Here are some great guides to follow, just in case:

Use a screen saver on your Mac

Change Screen Saver preferences on Mac

If you're already updated or the behavior continues, create a new user account to see if the sam behavior happens there. This will let us know if the issue is system-wide or only within your user account: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

Keep us posted.

Take care.
