Is my iPad too old?

Hi I’ve had my iPad mini 4 since it was realised and until about a year ago my iPad was working fine, I had to do a factory reset, so I took it to the Genius Bar at apple then when I’m setting it up again, it turns off by itself and I find more problems. Is this due to the age? I’ve tried suing a hard reset and the problems are still there.

iPad mini 4, iPadOS 15

It appears that you have iPadOS 15 installed on your iPad Mini 4th Generation. This means that it is not too old to run the newest version of the iPadOS and all the apps that run with that version. The Genius Bar may have helped you reset it to factory settings however possibly did not diagnose the iPad Mini for other hardware issues. I recommend that you have it examined, again, at the Apple Store or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and a resolution.
