how to scan qr code on same screen

I get this qr codes to scan for easier sign in but when I hit button it opens on a different screen how do I scan on same screen

I no that much lol example would be Microsoft sign in screen gives me a qr code to make it easier to sign in but when I hit button it opens on a different screen not the screen with the qr code on it
