I have been charged $7.99 for Applt TV subscription

• The card/bank statement doesn’t specify what the charge is for. Just to which merchant the money is transferred. If you see 'apple.com/bill' on your billing statement - Apple Support
• $7.99/m is only the price for Apple TV+ in Australia. For any other country, a charge to that amount will be for something else.
• The purchase history for your Apple ID account will specify each charge. View your purchase history for the App Store, iTunes Store, and other Apple media services - Apple Support
• Every subscription on your account is listed in the subscriptions overview. You can cancel subscriptions there that you do not wish to continue. How to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support. If this subscription is not listed there, then you are not subscribed on that account. Every subscription is user-initiated, never automatic.
• If you are the organizer for a Family Sharing group with Purchase Sharing active, then you will be billed for the Apple digital product transactions of all of the group members.

If none of the above applies to your situation, then consider if anyone else might have access to your payment method.
