Buy multiple iPhones in Canada?

Are there any limitations on how much iPhones can one buy in canadian Apple store? Can one for instance buy 10 iPhones 4 and pay for them with cash?
if there are limitations, how do they enforce them?
and just one thing, buying an iphone in american! apple store (for full retail price ofcourse), i heard you still have to sign some data plans? or can I, european, walk in fifth avenue store in NYC and buy 10 iphones without any kind of contracts? (i know they would be locked, but that isnt really a problem anymore. Thanks a lot

And what is it that I want? In Slovenia (where I am from) our government doesn't allow iPhones and devices with unremovable battery (violation of consumers rights). So i don't have any choice really! If i want one for a reasonable price, i have to plan a little trip to Montreal, and since i'm there, i reduce my travel costs by bringing some iphones back. What's wrong about that?
My question remains, how is this quota enforced in canada? Do they check ID like in UK? Do they look at credit card number..??

Right now the limit is 0 at most stores since they don't have any. Check for availability

before your trip. Bring a SIM card, so you can be sure to get one that is unlocked. There have been some mistakes.

It may not be a problem now, but may become one if you ever update the iPhone. Also newer iPhones will be sold with newer firmware that may not be unlockable.

Nothing wrong with purchasing one or two iPhones for personal use but there is plenty wrong with wanting to purchase 10 or more iPhones to sell on the brown market at a profit to pay for your trip or for money - which is the very reason why there is a limit for the number of iPhones that can be purchased - at least in the U.S. Plus the iPhone is in great demand. If you and hundreds decide they want to do the same - purchase a large quantity of iPhones for no other reason then wanting to make money off of it, someone who wants an iPhone for personal use has to wait even longer.

As I said, I know exactly what you are wanting to do with purchasing 10 or more iPhones at once and this is the reason why there is a limit in the U.S. and probably in Canada also and rightfully so.

Even if you do buy that many iphones, As for the customs in your country, don't you have to declare it? Because I know some countries, they don't allow that many products being brought into their country as it can be seen that you are trying to sell them. So i wouldn't take the risk of doing this as if you do get caught, most likely it will be taken away.
