6 month free music with HomePod mini offer today

Hi I have just bought the HomePod mini today and I am nor being offered the 6 month free option when I click on music app when logged into my account? Why is this? I asked in store about fact I had subscribed before and 2 sales assistants confirmed that the offer is still valid. Please advise?
