How do I change my credit card number in the payment option? I am able to change the month and year and security code but not the actual CC #, because it says there is at least one active subscription for this account and that is iCloud storage and for which this credit card number no longer works.

You need to add a new card, not edit the one you already have added
After you have added a new card you can remove the old one.
