Has anyone had this issue and is there anything you can do to fix it or do you just have to go in to get it repaired? I can't get in until Monday and it's Saturday. Help!

What happened when the screen went black, is your phone still working or is it off?
Did you try force restart your iPhone by this steps:
Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
You have been most helpful. Through your instruction I finally got it to come back on. Hopefully this will at least get me to the appointment on Monday before completely dying. I think the screen is going out because it periodically goes black then the flashes of green or white in the bottom right corner. Thank you so much I greatly appreciate it!
Thank you for your reply. I don't have a screen on the phone so I can't do any of this as the screen is not working even after a hard reset. There is nothing but a black screen but if someone calls it rings I just can't pick up because you can't see anything on the screen to pick up.
Thank you for the helpful information. The phone flashes a white blur at the bottom briefly but that is all that happens.
