I’ve just redeemed a gift card and in total it’s $30. I was going to use it for the 1 year videostar pro subscription which is $29.99. But when I try to purchase it I do my Touch ID and password then it brings me to AppStore asking for either debit card or PayPal and i want to use my Apple ID balance but when I choose the Apple ID balance payment method is just says add money or redeem. Can someone help me with this?
You may need to have a payment method on file, even if the app you want to download is free. Check which payment method you have on file
Or sign in to your Apple ID account page and edit your Apple ID details.
On the Sidebar click Payment methods -> then tap Payments Methods and tap Manage payment method.
Then see -> Add money to your Apple ID balance

Does the $29.99 include applicable taxes? If not, the purchase price plus taxes is more than $30. If you have a subscription, you are required to have a payment method on file.
