Show Films in Order of Latest Added?

I’ve created a ‘Recent Films’ Smart Playlist, because the Apple TV’s ‘Recently Added’ feature is, well, a bit rubbish.

In the Apple TV app on my Mac , I have the films listed in descending order, with the most recently added at the top of the list. However, on the Apple TV, the films are always shown in ascending order, with most recently added at the bottom. It’s really frustrating, and I can’t seem to find a workaround (I’ve tried restarting the Apple TV).

Of course, if Apple let the user choose the number of items that appear in ‘Recently Added’, this wouldn’t be a problem…

TIA,

Tim

Hi TimDanaher,

If you'd like to change the order in which a playlist items appear on your Apple TV, this advice might help.

While this isn't currently a feature, you can provide feedback to Apple by going to Product Feedback and picking the most appropriate product or service. In this case, Apple TV might be a good option. That way your feedback can get to the team that manages these features.

We hope that helps with your question and take care!
