how could i reset the password?

If your iPad is running iPadOS 15.2 or higher, you can actually reset the Passcode. See these instructions --> How to reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when you forgot your passcode - Apple Support

If this doesn't work, it would likely be because your iPad is not updated to at least iPadOS 15.2, which means you will have to erase your iPad, using your home computer with iTunes (Windows) or Finder (Mac), following the directions in this link --> If you forgot your iPad passcode - Apple Support
