Unable to load photos to website such as Etsy

When I try to add a photo to a website, such as Etsy, I can go to Photos on my Mac, but the photos are not showing and it there is a message telling me to open Photos, which I have but still can't see the photos. I am using Safari and have tried Chrome, both the same. I know this has been on this forum before, but I couldn't find a solution.

Thanks in advance!

Just re-reading your first post. You say you open photos, but can't see your photos there either. Is that correct?

In which case have you actually imported your photos into the photos app, or are they sitting in a folder somewhere. Or is it possible you have more than one library, and are currently opening an empty one?

Try holding down the option key while starting photos? If there is more than one library listed, open each in turn until you find the one with your photos in.
