Should I buy an iPhone 5 for my son?

My son wants an iPhone for his birthday, and we found a iPhone 5 on ebay.com, and the iPhone is on iOS 12.5.5. So should we buy it?

No, an iPhone 5 is extremely outdated. It won't run the latest iOS and not many apps will run on that old operating system.

You could buy it, but it is outdated. You could buy an iPhone 6S which supports the latest iOS (iOS 15- 15.5) at a very cheap price on the eBay website
