Family Sharing issue

I have sent an invite to my wife for Family Sharing of my 2TB iCloud storage. She has received the invite, responded to it but nothing has happened. Her iCloud is almost full. Can someone help us get this resolved please? Thanks.

Hi ryane77 and others. Thank you VERY much. I had used a Canadian credit card for payment and it had our old Canadian address linked to it in the Apple account (which I had forgotten). Switching to a NZ card/address has resolved the problem! Really appreciate your help. Will toast with a drink this evening. Regards, Warwick

Hello warwickNZ22,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. To get started, let's try to stop sharing iCloud storage with your wife then start sharing it again.

1. Using device of Storage Owner, go to, Settings > Account > Family Sharing > iCloud +

2. Tap, “Stop Sharing with Family”

3. Tap, the “Back” button

4. Tap, "iCloud +”

5. Tap, “Start Sharing with Family”

6. Exit Family Sharing Settings

Also, check out this information in the following link: Share iCloud+ with your family

Let us know if the issue persists afterwards. Kind regards.

Hi nbotros,

Thanks for this suggestion. I've done that and still no luck. I think my wife's current iCloud is full so she is not able to use her new iCloud email address. We are going to delete some of the files in her iCloud drive and see if that helps. She is also getting told that her iTunes country should be the same as mine which I don't understand the relevancy. We lived for a long time in Canada and now in New Zealand. I don't even have iTunes on my iMac so have no clue what country mine might be registered in. All very confusing. Cheers, Warwick

warwickNZ22,

Thanks for the reply. For Family Sharing, you would need to both be using the same region for your Apple ID accounts, so we recommend checking those under Settings > [name] > Media & Purchases > View Account > Country/Region. If you need to change the region for one of the accounts, these steps will help: Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support

"What to do before you change your country or region

Best wishes.
