Uploading videos to iCloud

I am trying to upload a video (our wedding video) from the computer to icloud to protect it from loss. It is an MPG file and I have also tried converting it to a MP4 file and neither will let me upload it to the cloud.

How big is the file? It must be on the large size if it's a wedding video?

iCloud has a limit on the size of file you can upload: You can store files in iCloud Drive as long as they're 50 GB or less in size and you don't exceed your iCloud storage limit. See Access and manage your files in iCloud Drive
