my new iphone13 cannot send or receive phone calls or text messages. emails are ok. what setting should i check or change?

Well... the SIM is what links the device to your carrier service. Either move the SIM from the old phone to the new one, or get a new SIM from your carrier. You may need a new one anyway if you want 5G service.

i did not know the iphone13 pro needed a sim card. is that something i should remove from my iphone 7?
so i should contact verizon (my carrier) for this? will they install it for me or do i have to take it to an apple store?
