Hi
I bought an xs max in UAE and been using them for 3 years. I had gone to india for vacation and when i try to change the sim to indian carrier, it was not detecting the sim. I then checked the general settings and it showed sim locked.
What should i do?
I think its region locked.

The iphone i bought was not locked to any carrier. I just bought a new iphone and inserted my old sim and worked fine in UAE. But once i went to india, as i put an indian sim, it says not supported....i dont know to which carrier is it locked to...maybe the vendor gave me a locked phone, but even if it was locked, i was able to use my old sim in that phone. And it shows carrier lock in general menu
Did you tap on the Carrier Lock entry?
