Why is my safari making me sign in to google everytime I use it

Every time I use my safari, I’m having to sign in to google first, this is becoming very inconvenient. A long message crops up first and then tells me to sign in. It has happens on my linked iPad and now continually on my iPhone.

Are you either using private browsing, or are you clearing your cookies and cache? Or are you perhaps closing Safari from the quick-launch screen?
