I need to change the apple ID on an old iPhone that i use as an iPod. It is giving me grief becuase it shows my old Apple ID and wants the old password that I no longer remember.

I have an old iPhone 6 Plus that I use occasionally as an iPod. My email changed since I last used it and now I no longer remember my old password so I can't get it to do anything. Any suggestions?

If you forgot the Apple ID (iCloud) password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option if necessary. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.
