How do I set up a PIN code for my Apple Card or do I even need to?

The Apple Card is a Mastercard credit card and PINs are not typically used in the U.S. for credit cards except for ATMs (and the Apple Card cannot be used to withdraw cash at an ATM).

If you're asked for a PIN
Apple Cash doesn't require a PIN because every payment is authenticated by Face ID, Touch ID, or a secure passcode. There is also no card number, security code, or expiration date for your Apple Cash card.
If you're prompted by a terminal to enter a PIN to complete a debit transaction, enter a four-digit code, like 0000.
