I forgot my Apple ID recovery key

Per Apple: Using a recovery key is more secure, but it means that you’re responsible for maintaining access to your trusted devices and your recovery key. If you lose both of these items, you could be locked out of your account permanently. 

You will need to plead your case with Apple Support directly. Use the Get Support link in the upper right of this webpage.

Account recovery—if you can even get that far, here—usually requires more than two days, without the added difficulty of a lost recovery key and a disabled Apple ID.

The act of turning on recovery key and generating a 28 digit recovery key also turns off account recovery on your AppleID. So Apple support will be unable to do anything for you as the normal account recovery process is now disabled on your AppleID.

When using a recovery key, it really is imperative that you never lose that 28 digit recovery key. That’s the whole point of the recovery key option. You take 100% control, as well as 100% responsibility, for securing and recovering your AppleID.
